Every brand dreams of loyalty. Some hope for repeat customers, others wish for lifelong advocates. But every now and then, something extraordinary happens, a moment that goes beyond bottles, cocktails, and nights out.
Recently, Ginger Gerbil had one of those moments.
One of our biggest supporters decided to take her love for the Gerbil to the next level, by tattooing the Ginger Gerbil logo on her ribs. Yes, on the ribs. Permanently inked. Bold, playful, and totally unapologetic, exactly what Ginger Gerbil is all about.
Now, anyone who’s had a rib tattoo will know this is not the soft option. This isn’t the fleshy part of an arm or a cute little ankle number. No, this is painful. This is commitment. This is choosing to have a tiny needle stab you thousands of times all in the name of a mischievous little ginger spirit. And for that, we salute her.
It’s more than a tattoo. It’s a statement. A reminder that life should be lived with a little mischief, a little spice, and a lot of character. It’s also a pretty solid party story and a guaranteed conversation starter. Possibly also a conversation ender, depending on the crowd.
We couldn’t be more humbled (and, honestly, a little bit speechless) to see our mischievous Gerbil become part of someone’s story, their identity, and their skin. One day, she’ll be eighty years old, sipping tea with her grandchildren, when someone will ask: “why do you have a rodent on your ribs?” And she’ll be able to reply: “Because I made excellent choices.”
